The sound wine makes as it leaves the bottle. Also: wine so easy and delicious you could glug it. The name says it all.

By day, Glou Glou is the café you know for great coffee, brunch and the pastries we spent six months perfecting. From Wednesday to Saturday evenings, the lights drop and the same Glou Glou transforms into an evening wine bar. Chef Antoine Collet cooks a short but delicious menu of small plates made for sharing, like smoked warehou beignets, kedgeree croquettes and chicken vol au vent. You can order a few, or hand it over to the kitchen with our ‘Feed Me’ menu.

The wine is looked after by our sommelier Paul Filipi, who interned at three-Michelin-star Christopher Coutanceau in France. His rotating list pairs wines from small New Zealand producers with a growing selection of French bottles. Tell him what you like and he'll find you something just right. Grab a seat for a glass before a show or settle into dinner with friends for the night.

Walk-ins are always welcome, and bookings are recommended on Fridays and Saturdays.
